The eastern suburbs offer what most first-home buyers are actually looking for β standalone homes, decent sections, close to the beach and parks β at a price point that's still achievable. Activity is healthy and open homes are well-attended. But first-home buyers take time. They're new to the process, they're cautious with good reason, and they'll look at a lot before they commit.

Buyers priced out of Cashmere and Somerfield have landed here, and the numbers are reflecting it. The rest of the list has its own story. Cracroft and Strowan sitting at the top might surprise people β these are already premium suburbs.
