Christchurch continues to feel relatively steady compared with some other parts of the country. There is still demand, but buyers are being more considered about what they purchase. They are taking longer, comparing their options and are increasingly comfortable walking away from a property if it does not feel right. For sellers, that makes how you prepare and present your home even more important. Good presentation, staging and marketing all play a part. When buyers have choices, the properties that feel well prepared and thoughtfully presented are more likely to stand out. The Small Details Can Make a Difference Preparing a home for market does not always require a major renovation. Often, it is the small things buyers notice. Touching up chipped paint, fixing worn carpet, replacing dated handles, tidying landscaping or making sure the home feels warm and welcoming can all improve that first impression.
